The standard warranty period for computers and laptops purchased from Discount PC is one (1) year beginning on the date of shipment, subject to the conditions and limitations described below. This warranty applies to original purchases made in the United States. Monitors, LCDs, parts, and accessories purchased from Discount PC are covered by our standard ninety (90) day warranty. The following consumable items are not covered by our warranty if opened: new printer ink, new toner cartridges, new CD/DVD media, new retail packaged software, new downloadable software, new batteries, etc. If unopened, Discount PC will accept returns up to thirty (30) days from the shipment date. 



  • Computers: One (1) year warranty 
  • Monitors, LCDs, computer peripherals and parts: Ninety (90) days
  • All batteries, regardless of condition, carry a limited sixty (60) day warranty.  
  • New Consumable items: No warranty if opened  
  • Returns for Refund: Applicable in the first thirty (30) days only. NO REFUNDS AFTER 30 DAYS.  
  • Refunds: Approval only after Discount PC receives, inspects and verifies functionality and completeness of all returned items.  
  • After the first thirty (30) days, the customer pays all returned shipping costs for repairs. If returned for a valid warranty claim, DiscountPC will return the item to the customer at DiscountPC's expense (via ground transportation).  
  • Restocking Fee: Discount PC charges a 15% restocking fee for all remorse returns during the first thirty (30) days. Please note this percentage could increase depending on the condition and completeness of the returned item(s). Buyer is responsible for return-freight postage. 
  • Laptop batteries purchased from Discount PC are either used/tested or brand new, at customer's option, and dependent on availability. Used/tested laptop batteries from Discount PC will have at least 40% of the original full battery capacity at time of shipment. Brand new replacement batteries are available for an additional charge. Please inquire with your sales agent. Battery serial numbers are captured by Discount PC at checkout and serial number(s) must match Discount PC’s records before any warranty action can take place.

This limited warranty covers normal use (“wear and tear”) of all items. This limited warranty does not cover damage resulting from failure to provide a suitable installation or operating environment for the product and/or accessories; damage caused by impact with other objects such as drops and  falls; liquid spills or immersion in liquids; software uploads resulting in malfunction; service not authorized by Discount PC; usage not in accordance with product instructions; failure to perform required preventive maintenance; accidents, abuse, misuse, and/or neglect; natural disasters such as flood, fire, earthquake or lightning; problems with electrical power such as power surges; and problems caused by use of parts, components, services and/or software not supplied by Discount PC. Warranty coverage will not apply in the event the serial number has been removed, altered or defaced. 

This limited warranty does not cover damage resulting from customer failure to back-up data or other files, nor does it cover damage caused by programs, data, viruses or other files. Discount PC is not responsible for any loss of data and recommends that the consumer maintains a back-up system at all times to rebuild or reconstruct lost or altered files, data or programs.

Under this limited warranty coverage, Discount PC will, at its discretion, repair or replace defective or damaged products returned to Discount PC upon its arrival. Any products purchased through Discount PC receiving repair, replacement, and/or service outside of Discount PC will render this warranty VOID. Requests for warranty service can be made by contacting Discount PC’s Support Team at or by completing the Warranty Request Form located on When submitting a request, please have the following information available: customer contact information, order number(s), serial number(s), a description of the issues(s), and the product part number(s). Valid proof of the date of original consumer purchase, including the serial number(s) of the product(s), may be required before warranty service is provided. If Discount PC determines that a  warrantied product or part is defective and that either a repair or replacement product or part is required, the customer will be issued a Return Material Authorization  (RMA) number for the return of the defective product or part. The defective product or part must be received by Discount PC within thirty (30) days from the RMA issue date. The defective product should be shipped to Discount PC using the original box and packing materials or equivalent packaging method. Payment for the return shipment of the repaired or replaced product or part will be covered by Discount PC. Before shipping the product(s) to Discount PC for repair, back up the data on the hard-disk drive(s) and any other storage device(s) in the product(s). Remove any removable media, such as diskettes, CDs, or PC Cards. If you have any questions, call Discount PC for assistance at 512-715-4273. Discount PC uses new and reconditioned parts made by various manufacturers in performing warranty repairs and building replacement products. If Discount PC repairs or replaces a product, its warranty term is not extended, and will expire at the original expiration date. 

Please note no refunds, exchanges, or replacements will occur on returned merchandise until a Discount PC technician reviews your returned product(s) and verifies the reported issue/problem, and confirms it meets all criteria for a valid warranty claim. If the technician believes the issue isn’t covered by the Discount PC warranty, or if no issue/problem is found, a member of our customer care team will contact you to discuss next steps. 


Discount PC reserves the right to deny warranty service if the purchaser is past due or late on a payment. ALL PAYMENTS OWED MUST BE CURRENT TO RECEIVE WARRANTY WORK.
